Travels and homework
I am currently in South Bend with my former college roommate Abby. She lives in Denver, but is originally from South Bend. So whenever she is anywhere close I drop everything and go see her. Abby works for Colorado Christian University as the admissions counselor for the mid-west. So she travels around and goes to college fairs and visits schools and all that jazz. It has been great to get so much face time with Abby. We talk on the phone often, but it's just not the same. We have been having lots of fun this week.
Last night Jezra came and picked me up from Abby's and took me home to visit the fam. It was great to see everyone for a moment. We had dinner and played Euchre and chatted. Amanda and Mark had dinner with us also. Zion is adorable, even when she's tired. Then Breanna drove me back. It was great to have some sister time in the car. I cannot wait until she is at Ball State!!
In other news, I have been working on getting off my anxiety medication which has been interesting. I've not been off it enough that I am no longer having weird side effects, like hearing a scratching noise when I close my eyes or getting dizzy if I stand up too long. But my emotions are still slightly out of whack. I have been crying at the drop of a hat and have, of course, been feeling more anxious. I feel like I can handle the anxiety, but the crying is very counter productive. Hopefully, I will not become someone who cries at the drop of a hat!
Classes are going well. I missed three this week because of being away with Abby. I find it kind of nice not to have to spend so much time in a car three days a week. I also don't feel like it's going to put me too far behind or anything. The work load is getting a bit crazy though. I have so many group projects going at the moment that I can hardly keep them straight. Also, being the masachist that I apparently am, I volunteer to help out a professor with a year long study on addictions treatment. It shouldn't be too involved, it's only once a week, but I will now have to drive to indianpolis 1 day a week. I feel that I may have bitten off more than I can chew, but it's only for one semester and hopefully I will be able to get through. Next semester should not be nearly as time consuming.
My online class is finally over which is amazing. I really was beginning to hate it and it took up a lot of my time.
That's all the time I have at the moment, hopefully, I'll be able to update again soon!
