Surprise provisions...
Recently Matt and I have been struggling to make it financially. We have had to put a lot of things on our credit card. So much in fact that we maxed it out (it's under $5000, but still kind of scary!). This unfortunately left us with no emergancy funds, we've been behind so much lately that we've depleted all of our savings (which weren't much to begin with) and are scraping by paycheck to paycheck. Matt decided on Sunday to sit down and get everything on paper so that we'd know if we're even bringing in enough money over the next month to pay all of our bills. As it turns out, we have just enough to pay bills if we only spend around $68 over the next month on FOOD and GAS. Obviously, this was not going to cut it, especially with me driving 45min one way to get to class three times a week.
We needed to figure something out, so I called my parents (because what else do young married people do in this situation!) and they lovingly agreed to send us money. Enough that we'd still have to be careful, but we could get food and get me to class. That was a huge, huge relief to us both.
But God wasn't done providing for us!! On Monday, when we can home there was a little red envelope sitting between our doors and what do we find in it? LOTS AND LOTS OF $$$$!!!! Almost $500!!! We are so amazed and blessed! Not only do we have enough to get us through this month, but next month also!!! I am so blown away by all this. I think I can say, because of a few other things that this is one of the best weeks of my life!!
Thank-you so much to everyone who has prayed or help us out finacially (My parents, Matt's parents, my grandparents). Without you we would be on a slippery slope into poverty and we are blessed to know that we will always be taken care of by the people in our lives.
God is amazing!
